Windows 10: Windows 11 Lock Screen has stopped working

My Windows 11 Lock Screen was set to Slideshow, and it was working just fine. A couple of days ago all of a sudden all I had on the Lock Screen was the Blue wave. I checked the settings screen, and it was set for Slideshow and all the other information looked to be correct, but I still changed the Slideshow setting to Picture and then back to Slideshow. No effect whatsoever.Looking again I tried removing the setting to use the Pictures directory and resetting that to use a specific directory. I was given a message that said "The file location Pictures cannot be used because of its location." ?

Windows Spotlight on the lock screen

There are multiple causes on why you're encountering this issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you disable and re-enable Spotlight. Simply follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop and open Personalize.
• Open Lock Screen tab.
• Under Background, switch from Windows Spotlight to a Picture or the Slideshow.
• Click OK and close the Window.
• Now Log off and log in.
• Navigate to Lock screen and enable Windows Spotlight again.

• When you say that "It is not flapped over to password when clicking", you tried to check the issue by clicking through external mouse?
• Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the picture of the lock screen and also try to update Display Adapter driver.

Step 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select the lock screen picture.

Step 2: I recommend you to update the latest driver for display adapter in Device Manager.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on
Enter Key.

3. Expand Display Adapter.

4. Right click on the driver and click on Update driver software.

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.
