The pictures for the lock screen change too rapidly. I would like to set the duration that each picture remains on the screen to 60 seconds.

  2. Lock screen timeout is stuck at 60 seconds

In windows 10, my lock screen always comes up after 60 seconds of inactivity despite my timeout being set at 15 mins. This is a major inconvenience. Waiting for multiplayer game lobbies, reading, and doing work takes twice as long as it should. Please
    help.

  3. Folder refresh every 60 seconds

I have a new computer that has Windows 10 on it. When I open any of the storage folders such as "My Pictures" it refreshes every 60 seconds. If I have scrolled down in the file list I will then lose my place because the screen refreshes and goes back
to the top of the list. This is incredibly frustrating! Please help.

Lock screen timeout is stuck at 60 seconds

Pawan, thank you for the possible fixes but these steps have not resolved the issue.

Perhaps a more detailed description of the issue would help.

1.) When reviewing the settings under Settings << System << Power and Sleep << Screen and Sleep, the settings are correct and settings everything to "Never" is not possible for security purposes in an Enterprise environment.

2.) This issue occurs in Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise versions 1511, 1607 and 1705.

3.) Group policy is also correct and sets the earliest timeout to 300 seconds, there are no settings set to 60 seconds at all.

4.) The timeout being referred to is the screen timeout when idle for a certain period of time, in this case, some default setting is set at 60 seconds, during timeout, the lock function is also triggered, requiring a password when woken.

5.) This timeout supersedes all domain GPO policies.

    6) The troubleshooter is not sophisticated enough to check timing settings.

7.) Power settings on the devices (keyboard, monitor, mouse) are set correctly and are usually not editable, so "Allow this device to wake the computer" is on by default.

8.) Please create a lab, setup Windows 10 however you like, add it to a domain, set GPO however you like, then watch the monitor timeout at 60 seconds regardless of how you have things set, then get an engineer who understands the API's involved in this
functionality to fix it... even if it's not available till the next service pack... this is an extreme annoyance and if organizations are going to use Windows 10 as a viable OS option, we really need Microsoft to listen and work on these things please.
