Windows 10: Windows 11 login asking for pin but doesn't have prompt

Hello, I just updated my Windows 11 laptop from 23H2 to 24H2 and when I try to log in it says "before you can start using windows hello, you have to enter your pin" which is fine, I know my pin and I have used it to log in before. However, right now all it does is it tries to authenticate using the windows hello webcam built into the laptop and then gives that message. There is no box to enter a pin. There are no options to sign in another way or as another user. I have restarted into "safe mode with networking" and I don't get any login options there. The only thing it seems to want to use to

Windows 11 login prompts for password half the time even if PIN is set

After I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to 11, the login prompts for password half the time even if PIN is set. Though it asks for PIN half the time, I want it to ask only PIN, the way it used to work in Windows 10.

 

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Unable to login using The login PIN

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the pin and check fi it helps.

• In the login page next to “PIN password option”.
• You will find “Other sign in options”, click on it will prompt you for regular password.
• Enter regular password and login to the computer.
• I suggest you to click on the Start Menu
  and select settings.
• Now select Accounts.
• Next select the tab Sign-in option.
• Under the “PIN tab” click on “ADD” option.
• It will prompt you for current pin password and new password, please provide
  new password then apply the changes, restart
  the computer and check if it works.
