Windows 10: Windows 11 login requires PIN but resetting PIN doesn’t work

My computer it currently running windows 11. I usually sign in to my computer with touch ID, but for some reason it didn’t work yesterday and it’s now saying that my PIN is required. I don’t remember what my PIN is though, or if I even have a PIN set up. However, when I go to “I forgot my PIN” after singing in and verifying my identity and everything and confirming I’d like to reset my PIN it just says that “Something went wrong.” It says that they were unable to set up my PIN and I could skip this step and set it up later but it just brings me back to the login screen. I’ve even tried to make

Windows 11 needs PIN - lost PIN & Password - Help!

To reset a forgotten PIN code, please complete these steps: (Require your phone number.)

Step 1: On the Windows 11 login screen, click “I forgot my PIN” under the PIN password box.

Step 2: Enter your user account password and then click “Sign in”.

Step 3: you need to verify your identity, choose a way to receive code and continue.

Step 4: If you choose your phone number, enter the last 4 digits of the phone number. Then click “Send code”.

Step 5: You will receive a code in seconds. Type in your received code and then click “Verify”.

Step 6: Select “Continue”.

Step 7: Type in a new PIN and type it again to confirm. Then click “OK”. The new PIN password is working now.

Reset win10 login pin

Is it possible to reset the windows 10 login pin if you've forgotten what it was?

I managed to get it changed (after *much* trial and error), but it appears to require the old pin to change the pin -- even if you know the password. That's just weird. You should be able to reset the pin at any time if you have the full password.

 

PIN is required to login

I used to login windows with my fingerprint.

But now it required to login with my PIN and I forgot my PIN (even didn't remember that I set a PIN or not)

I check on "forget PIN" but no response.

I scan fingerprint and it required my PIN....

How can I login with my fingerprint only?
