Windows 11 making weird notification sound.

I have got a new laptop, so it doesn't have lots of software installed yet. And there is this strange notification sound playing randomly. When I am watching movie, it rings, when I am not using the laptop, it rings. There are not notifications shown on the screen.I have turned notifications off in system settings and Windows Security, and I have muted facebook, youtube and email notifications from the browser.I have looked through the mmsys setting, and listened to every notification sound on "on", no one sounds like that one. I have downloaded the process monitor and tried to find it by filt

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    Make Windows 11 notifications stack

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

Windows 11 was designed with a new approach to notifications compared to Windows 10, focusing on a cleaner and less intrusive experience for users. This design philosophy means that notifications in Windows 11 might not behave exactly as they did in Windows 10, including how they stack or the speed at which they appear and disappear.

However, if you're looking to adjust the behavior of notifications to better suit your needs, here are a few suggestions you can try.

    1. Notification Settings Adjustment:
      • Go to Settings > System > Notifications. Here, you can adjust various settings related to notifications, such as allowing notifications to appear on your lock screen, the notification banners, and whether to show or hide notifications in the notification center. While there might not be a direct setting to make notifications stack or display faster, adjusting the available options might help you find a balance that works for you.
    2. Focus Assist Settings:
      • Focus Assist can be configured to allow certain notifications through while silencing others. By customizing which notifications are allowed, you might be able to manage the flow of notifications more effectively. Access this by going to Settings > System > Focus Assist.
    3. Third-Party Software:
      • Although not ideal for everyone, there are third-party applications and tools designed to manage notifications on Windows. These tools might offer more granular control over how notifications appear, stack, and disappear. However, always exercise caution and do thorough research before downloading and installing any third-party software to ensure it’s reputable and safe.
    4. Feedback Hub:
      • If the current notification system doesn’t meet your needs, consider providing feedback to Microsoft through the Feedback Hub app. Microsoft often makes adjustments and improvements based on user feedback. To access the Feedback Hub, search for it in the Start menu and follow the prompts to submit your feedback.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards
