Windows 10: Windows 11 Microsoft Store icons missing.

OS: Windows 11 22H2 x64Recently I noticed any applications installed from the Microsoft store will not show it's app icon on the taskbar. The one showed in the image below is settings, yes THE windows settings app. The one to the left of that is Spotify. I have restarted, checked for windows updates, cleared cache, ran disk management, storage sense and sfc /scannowAs well as this, the windows thumbnail cache seems to be partially corrupted as well, .png files don't show a thumbnail. Nor do .svg's but .jpeg files DO show thumbnails which is perculiar.

Icons of Windows Store apps missing on the taskbar on Windows 11

Hello,

After upgrading to Windows 11 Pro 22H2, the icons of Windows Store apps (for example: Terminal or Notepad) are missing on the taskbar.

I tried a lot of things but without any success :

• Restore the system
  
• Repair Windows Store
  
• Reinstall Windows Store completely
  
• Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc.exe /scannow
  

On a local profile on the same computer, it's working fine (the one with the issue is connected with a Microsoft account).

W11 - Microsoft Store does not open

When I click on the MS Store icon nothing happens. The icon also appears to be greyed out.

Tried all of the following with no success:

• Also tried this but couldn't seem to get the syntax correct for the command. In any case, I am using Azure and don't want to be using a local admin accoun: Windows Store missing entirely in fresh Windows 11 pro final - Microsoft Community

Are there any other suggestions?

  Are you signing in with Microsoft User account or local user account?
  

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if this helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + R key to open Run.
  
• 
  Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.
  

Restart the PC and sign in with Microsoft User account and check if you are able to find Windows Store icon.
