Windows 11 minimize to tray leaves an unresponsive window open on desktop

Running windows11 now for many months, completely up-to-date. Virus scans are clean. This problem has past the annoyance stage with me, and frankly am considering abandoning Windows completely, and there is already one similar report out there, with no solution. So I'm asking again. Some apps not all, most are older ones which worked fine under Windows 10 when the close button is mapped to "minimize to tray" or "minimize to notification area" leave the window open on the desktop, but it is completely unresponsive - can't close it, move it, or interact with it in any way. Often it sits on t

  2. Using the close button to minimize to tray leaves unresponsive images of the window on my screen?

I just updated to give Windows 11 another shot and this is driving me insane. You know how in some apps such as Discord and qBittorrent when you hit the close button they minimize to tray? Well when I do that it leaves an unresponsive version of the window on my screen. I'm struggling to find anyone else who has had this issue, anyone know what I should do? I'm running the most recent Dev build but the same issue occurred before I updated to it. I am using StartAllBack but the same issue occurs with it disabled.

The issue doesn't occur with EVERY app though, so far it only affects Surfshark, qBittorrent and Discord. Steam, for example, still minimizes to taskbar just fine.

    Example:

Windows 11 minimize to tray leaves an unresponsive window open on desktop ab27817c-5b55-41c1-8907-679a66d29f5f?upload=true.jpg

desktop agent tray error message in windows 10

I tried the following suggestion. When I got to step 4, the list provided no checkmarks to uncheck and the icon for Desktop Agent Tray was a checkmark in a yellow circle. nothing happened when I clicked on the yellow circle with the checkmark. the title
on the list was Desktop Agent Tray(2) Clicking on the title opened a title beneath the Desktop Agent Tray (2) which did not have the (2)

the publisher of both titles was CenturyLink Inc and the status for the entry with the (2) was enabled and the status of the other entry was blank. Changing the status to disabled did nothing. the Start up impact was listed as high. There was another
entry under the two Desktop Agent Tray titles There was an icon then Dw20 with a high start up impact. No where was there a place to uncheck or delete. So far the box which lists the error disappears and there seems to be no problem. I just wonder why
    it is there,

    • Go to Startup tab.

Minimize to the tray on startup

    Minimize to tray at startup

I'm looking for a way to autorun GPU-Z minimized on Windows 7 x64. If I stick a shortcut in the start-up folder and change the properties to "run minimized" it doesn't minimize to the tray but instead to the taskbar. So I have to click on the taskbar and press on minimize every time I reboot my system. This is a little bit annoying if you reboot often.

Thank you for your time! *Smile Windows 11 minimize to tray leaves an unresponsive window open on desktop :)
