  1. Windows 11 MS Paint- how can I ALWAYS use inches?

    Yes, I can go into file-> Image Properties and change it to be inches. But the next time I go into Paint, I see pixels again. If I go back to Image Properties, it is STILL set to inches! If I click on OK, I am back to inches! Why did the program bother saving what I wanted the last time if it isn't going to LOOK at it again?!

    :)

  2. Is there a way to choose a size in inches for 3D paint?

    Hi Alex1545! My name is David. I am a user of Microsoft products like you, and it is a pleasure to greet you.

    I understand your preference for using inches instead of pixels; however, in Microsoft's Paint 3D, there isn't a direct way to define the canvas size in inches.

    You can approach this problem by considering the resolution (DPI) at which you intend to print. Here's how you can go about this:

    Many printers print at 300 DPI by default. However, you may want to check your printer's specifications or settings to confirm.

    Then you could calculate Pixel Dimensions:

    For example; At 300 DPI, an 8.5" x 11" image would be:

    * Width: 8.5 inches x 300 DPI = 2550 pixels

    * Height: 11 inches x 300 DPI = 3300 pixels

    When you're ready to print, ensure that you're printing at the desired DPI (in most cases, 300 DPI) to maintain the dimensions you've set.

    If you still wish for Microsoft Paint 3D to have this feature, you can submit this suggestion from the application by following these steps:

    Go to Menu -> Learning and Feedback -> Send Feedback.

    Compose your suggestion, and in the category, select "Suggestion." This helps Microsoft improve its products for both you and other users.

    Let me know if the shared information has been helpful. Regards.
