Windows 10: Windows 11 MSI laptop. I bought a new condenser microphone and plugged it into the 3.5 jack...

I’ve tried updating drivers, roll back drivers, but nothing works.

SF-666 condenser microphone

My system does not recognize the SF-666 condenser microphone. The only place I have to plug it into is the headphones port/audio jack. When I plug it in is says 'You just plugged a device into the audio jack', but it does not recognize it as an external
microphone. I have followed all the steps provided in this community like ensuring that the drivers are up to date etc, but still nothing is working. Any other suggestions? Is it a Windows 10 issue?

 

New condenser microphone with 3.5 mm cord not working with Windows 10

So I decided to upgrade my microphone from the inline mic that comes with the cord for Beats headphones. I liked to beats's sound, so I merely wanted to get a condenser mic that had a stand. Found one on amazon, it said "plug and play" and so I bought it.
It is called a SF-920 Condenser Microphone (when googling I found it was made by like 3 different companies, so I assume its generic). It came in a cardboard box with no manuals

My laptop has separate jacks for both audio and microphone, so I plugged the new mic in there and used a third party aux cord (no inline mic) for the beats and can hear out of them but I am unable to use the mic. I was wondering if there is a fix for this
or do I need to ship it back. Thanks!

By the way, when I used to use the beats headset there was a single 3.5mm jack plugged into the audio one. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

 

Recording with condenser microphone

I bought a new condenser microphone, USB port, for recording podcasts, but the sound is so faint, it is useless, even when the volume can be as high as 98 on my laptop. The speaker volume is on 48

My clip-on mic, jack port, is working fine.

Any tips or remedy for this problem?
