Windows 10: Windows 11 multiple versions including the latest and greatest 23H2 Explorer extract works...

We have multiple computers with this problem and plenty that do not. The same file that does not work on the computers that are bad will work on another that is good, so it's not the zip file itself. I have ran DISM and SFC scans and that didn't work. When I go into Task Manager and do an "End Task" on Explorer sometimes it will fix it but that is short lived and not a fix. Someone somewhere has to have or have had this problem. We can't be the only ones. Please help if you can because I am at my wits end!

Windows 11 23H2 upgrade broke File Explorer, it will not run

Good news!

Problem seems to be fixed by 2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190) update released 11/14 that I installed on 11/15. In the Knowledge Base notes is the following under File Explorer:

• This update addresses an issue that stops File Explorer from opening.
  

It worked for me, no longer have any problems, no need to re-install (somehow I couldn't roll back 23H2 update and had no recovery point before that time).

 

Cannot install Windows 11 23H2

The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

• 22000.xxx is 21H2
  
• 22621.xxx is 22H2
  
• 22631.xxx is 23H2

Don't work TaskBar after Windows 11, version 23H2 update.

After Windows 11, version 23H2 update, task bar stopped working. Tried on different local accounts and the same. Restarted windows explorer without luck. Checked my account permissions and they say part of Administrator group.
