Windows 10: Windows 11 needs PIN - lost PIN & Password - Help!

Hello,I opened my laptop that I've been using for the last year with facial recognition to unlock, and it says my pin is required. I do not have the "reset my pin" option, and I also do not remember the password. There is an option to reset password, but it says I need to have set up a USB passkey or something which I also did not do.I am completely locked out of the computer with no option to bypass that I can tell.I did a quick search and saw options to uninstall the latest feature updates or reset the computer. None of those options will execute though when I try, and I get an error sa

Follow these steps to set up a PIN on your Windows User Account:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Add button.
  
• 
  Type in the password for your User Account, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
  

From now on you’ll be able to log in to your Windows account by entering your 4 digit PIN instead of your password.



You can change your PIN at any time by following the steps below:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Change button.
  
• 
  Enter your Windows password, then click the
  Ok button.
