Windows routing sucks. It is so buggy it forwards frames out the wrong interface. It appears not to follow the basic routing principle of "longest-match-wins" in the routing table. It seems as though even when a more specific route exists in the routing table "route print" it chooses the WRONG egress interface. Setting a static ARP entry still does not fix it, in fact the static entry appears under the WRONG interface. Flushing the ARP cache with "netsh interface ipv4 delete arpcache" does not fix it. Flushing the neighbour cache with "netsh interface ipv4 delete destinationcache" does not f

    Multichannel audio interface in/out routing

    Hi Paulo,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forums.

    • What is the make and model of your external audio interface?
    • Which routing application are you using?

The configurations of inputs and outputs on any audio interface is dependent on the hardware and its supporting software. Any audio interface with more than 2 inputs and 2 outputs, should ideally give the user an option to map the
Input and Output Config, according to his interest.

I suggest you to go through the user manual provided by your audio interface's manufacturer to know how to set up the control surface.

If it doesn't explain how to configure, I suggest you to get in touch with the audio interface's manufacturer to know how to configure the same.

    Hope it answers.

    Regards,

  3. Network without a gateway although the interface is configured with DNS Windows 10.

I have a number of threads open regarding networking issues in Windows 10. Here's that latest: Computer is connected to a wired network without a gateway although the interface is configured with DNS. It is also connected to a wireless network that is
connected to the Internet. The routing table looks like this:

Windows 11 network stack has a routing bug. It sends frames out the wrong egress interface,... 51b3fb7e-432b-4b90-8fb9-993ea3665ba0.png

Yet when I try to ping something 192.168.1.0 network, this is what I get:

Windows 11 network stack has a routing bug. It sends frames out the wrong egress interface,... 6b9246f3-6b26-4106-8270-28f518c68857.png

Clearly the OS had no concept of routing and is sending packets to the wrong place. This might explain some of my problems. How do I fix this, and do not suggest unloading and reloading the network driver as that has not yet fixed it.

    Network Routing Tables

    Hi everyone!

I recently started using a VPN. However some websites block VPN ips so I can't visit them.
To solve this problem I would like to add the blocked website's IP to my route table.
It works fine on my other laptops but on my PC it doesn't seem to function. I ran the following command as an administrator in my cmd. Got the OK! feedback message but I still get blocked from visiting the website when on a VPN.

    Code:
    Code:
Route add [website IP] [Default Gateway]

At the bottom of this screenshot :

Windows 11 network stack has a routing bug. It sends frames out the wrong egress interface,... 84486d1485968022t-network-routing-tables-route.png

you can see that the IP is indeed added to the list but sadly it doesn't function. I have been suggested to reinstall my Windows 10 but was wondering if there aren't any other solutions to this problem.

    Thanks in advance!
