Windows 11 new dell g15 5530 laptop doesnt function. 16GB Ram nvidia 4060 hanging on basic tasks .This windows 11 is outright trash. No help from Microsoft its a supposed downgrade from Windows 10. There windows store doesnt work on a out of box laptop just bad such a shame,

Laptop hangs on startup if not plugged in

Hi everyone, I recently bought myself a Dell G15 gaming laptop. Everything works well... however I noticed that it hangs on startup if it's not plugged in. It will load my windows and files, and after a minute or so, I won't be able to move the cursor and the laptop crashes. Blue screen appears.



So whenever I open my laptop now, I always plug its charger so it doesn't hang. Then after a while, maybe about 10 minutes, I can remove the charger and it works perfectly fine.



So my laptop's main problem is only during its startup... after that it works perfectly fine.



I think this happened after I upgraded my laptop's RAM. I'm just not sure what's causing it to hang on startup when the RAM's working fine and compatible to my machine.

My laptop's specs are as follows:



Model: Dell G15 Gaming Laptop

Processor: Intel i5-10500H 2.5ghz

Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1650

RAM: 16gb

 

'New' laptop w/ Windows 11 and 16GB of ram...sloooowwwwww

I've got win11 on 2 of my main machines and it runs just fine. One has 64GB of ram and the other has 128GB. These were win10 machines that got upgraded to 11.

I'm setting up a new (reconditioned) Dell 12th gen i7 laptop with an RTX3050 GPU and a nvme drive for my father-in-law and it's taking at least 30+ minutes to create and log into a new account. When I setup my 2 machines I did not encounter this long delay.

Only thing I can think of is that it's only got 16GB of ram. More (64GB) is on the way, but I'm curious if the length of delay here is due to only having 16GB.

Task manager says it's using 18.6GB just sitting there doing nothing (no apps running.) So I believe ram is the cause of the slowness. Is 11 really needing that much just to run itself?
