Windows 10: Windows 11 no longer remembers Explorer search history--by design. Where and when did...

Back in March of this year I noticed that Windows 11 File Explorer stopped storing search histories. While the support people here kindly worked with me to solve this issue, nothing they suggested fixed it. Now, two months later I'm advised by these same support people that this is not a Windows 11 bug, rather it's by design. My question: Where does Microsoft make this important information available? I would like to know because in the past I relied upon the search history to streamline my file management, and when it stopped working I spent two months being told here that it was a bug and tr

The current Windows 11 File Explorer no longer shows the search history, by design.
