Hello, I wanted to upgrade my PC to Windows 11 22H2 or newer. However, when I tried to update, I noticed it didn't let me.I downloaded the PC Health Check application to check if it is a hardware related issue, and to my suprise, it was!I thought it would've been a TPM 2.0 thing, but to my suprise it was my processor! It seems that the Intel i7-7700k processor is not compatible with Windows 11, however - my processor has all the requirements at least 1 GHz and 2 cores listed on the Microsoft page, but yet is not on the official list of Microsoft's Windows 11 Supported Intel processors. 2. Windows 11 processor compatibility

Thank you for your reply, but I still don't know why my processor is incompatible with Windows 11.

The compatibility requirements as stated by Microsoft are

    1. Compatibility. Windows 11 is designed to be compatible with the apps you use. It has the fundamentals of >1GHz, 2-core processors, 4GB memory, and 64GB of storage, aligning with our minimum system requirements for Office and Microsoft Teams.
My processor meets or exceeds all of these requirements. So I ask again, why is it not compatible?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, i5-7500 processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.

Please check with official Windows 11 list of supported processors:

    Windows 11 processor compatibility

    Hi GaryMertz-AR,

I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Unfortunately, your processor is not on the supported processor list for Windows 11.

See the link below for supported processors for Windows 11.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardwa...

Microsoft does not recommend installing Windows 11 on computers that are not supported. Your device may malfunction due to compatibility or other issues.

In the article below, you will find more details about the principles that guided the minimum system requirements for Windows 11.

    https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/...

I suggest you don't try to install Windows 11 on an unsupported device, especially if it's your primary device that you need in your daily life. Of course, the choice is yours.

It is a good idea to check with your computer manufacturer about the possibility of upgrading your processor to make your computer 100% compatible with Windows 11.

Feel free to ask back any questions.
