Discus and support Windows 11 not detecting AX1800 WiFi6 Dual Band USB Adapter in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Just bought a generic AX1800 WiFi6 Dual Band USB Adapter, but Windows is not detecting it.     Windows 11 not detecting AX1800 WiFi6 Dual Band USB Adapter


    Just bought a generic AX1800 WiFi6 Dual Band USB Adapter, but Windows is not detecting it. What can I do? Wifi options don't show up in Control Panel or System Settings. Tried multiple USB ports, and I hear Windows sound when I plug it in or unplug it, but nothing happens. I even tried other WiFi USB adapters and get same result.

    Oh i forgot windows doesn't support such features

    Why devices and manufacturers support dual band if windows doesnt? EVEN MY ANDROID CAN DO IT ahah but its useless there since i need dual band wifi for VR gaming .

    Glad my phone has over 1500Mbit /s and windows works like 0.3mbit /s max with single old fashion dial up connection.

    And yes. i do have wifi6E AX (dual band wifi) but windows doesn't support it cool.

    Hi polikerski ,

    do other devices detect the 5 GHz band? Does your router support the 802.11ax WiFi6 standard?

    The properties of that USB WiFi adapter show that the WiFi6 standard is not supported.

    Try to select VHT 2.4G and set it to disabled, then set the Wireless Mode to IEEE 802.11a / n / ac

    Usb 3.0/pci? dual band wifi adapter?

    I purchased the Dual band Engenius AC1200 usb adapter . I paid $39 but there is $10 rebate.
