Windows 10: Windows 11 not detecting monitor

As usual before it happened sound was working fine. For some reason one day sound stopped working and i was wondering why so i thoguht it might have changed outputs and when i checked LG Ultrafine wasnt an option anymore. I've heard it could be a problem with your driver so i went to system devices and system speakers to find out there WAS no drivers under it. If that isn't the problem under it then I have no idea what is and I've tried restarted the computers and all windows updates and it still isnt working. the only system output there is is Realtek Digital Output which I don't want. windows 11 cannot detect my second monitor

Windows 11 cannot detect my second monitor. Help. I did all the suggested troubleshooting steps but nothing seems to work.

 

Windows 11 Laptop not able to detect External Monitor LG24GN650

I am not able to detect my external monitor on windows 11 specifically. There is no physical connection issue as the monitor works when I connect it to another device operating on windows 10. There is also not any issue with my Windows 11 laptop's HDMI port as it works on other displays as well. It means the issue is specifically with the LG driver.

I have tried the following methods to solve the issue but was unsuccessful:

1. Updated intel and nvidia graphics driver
   
2. Updated Windows 11
   
3. Updated display driver from Device manager
   

As the monitor was not able to auto-detect I tried running the monitor driver exe file but it was showing error "Monitor is not LG manufactured"

Yes, that's exactly it. There is no indication anywhere that the 2nd monitor is detected.

Your suggestion about connecting the screen to another Windows 11 device intrigued me. I happen to have an Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop which is running Windows 11. I connected the Waveshare screen to this using the USB for power and the HDMI for video and it was detected right away!

So my initial thoughts about this being a purely Windows 11 issue may be wrong. As the screen can be detected on the Windows 11 laptop. But not my newly built Windows 11 desktop.

So this does look like a hardware compatibility issue now.
