Windows 10: Windows 11 not recognising Epson printer

Hi EveryoneJust upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 via Windows Update.After a few tweaks all is OK but my Epson SX525WD printer isn't being properly recognized.I switch the PC on and work and normal. If I then want to print something, I switch the printer on but it's not recognized. Print test page doesn't work, ink levels in the printer driver are greyed out. I have to leave the printer on and reboot the PC then it works.I've tried another USB port but no fix. All was OK with Windows 10 so it's not the cable. Windows is fully updated.Any help would be appreciatedregardsIan

I've changed router and now my computer won't recognise my epson wifi printer. I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall but it won't get the connection. I have amended my firewall settings to allow for setup but it still won't connect! Getting incredibly
frustrated........can anyone give me simple step by step directions to get it to work?

Mmmm, only thing else I can think off is trying Windows Update, otherwise I too am clueless, LOL. I just had a look on the Epson site and they didn't even list a driver for mine under W7, but it worked in W7 when I tried it, even had the epson control panel. Well, until there was a sickening sound of broken plastic and it went west, but thats another story, LOL.

Can you test the printer on another PC by any chance?

 

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Wow. I searched on a few of those keywords and saw some things relevant to HP printers but not Epson. Really interested to see what you find out. I've got an Epson workforce printer myself.
