Windows 10: Windows 11 Notepad keeps losing Monospaced font formatting

Discus and support Windows 11 Notepad keeps losing Monospaced font formatting in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; font: Courier NewI'm using some "Ascii Art" in a TXT file for different section.     Windows 11 Notepad keeps losing Monospaced font formatting


    font: Courier NewI'm using some "Ascii Art" in a TXT file for different section. Been doing this for years.With Windows 11, the Notepad puts in spaces between the lines and doesn't display the monospaced font correctly.if i click on the Gear icon, and just change the font size, and go back to the text, it displays correctly. So it knows what to do. But if I close and reopen, it goes back to the bad formatting.I tried to attach to images to show this. Not sure they came thru.

    Need CP437 Monospace ttf font

    Hi majoymeows

    In Notepad, when you click Format - Font, does Malgun Gothic not appear in the list of fonts?

    Do you know if the font you downloaded was a TTF or OTF type of font file?

    Notepad Fonts

    The font file is TTF. Yep, exactly. Malgun is already installed but it does not appear in the list of fonts.
