    Windows 11 Notepad Session Data Location


    Hi, I am hoping someone can help me please.Windows 11 has just tried to update to 24H2, however my computer will now not boot up.I have tried all recovery options, including removing latest updates, it does not work.Before I use reset option, I want to save my Notepad Session data as I have multiple tabs open unsaved.Which folder location and file do I need to backup please, so I can restore my Notepad Session after resetting windows?Thank you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

    • Open Task Manager. Here’s a tip: press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
    • Click on Startup tab.
    • Select Notepad from the list and click on Disable.

    Thank you for your speedy reply. I went through the steps as advised and .txt is not listed in file type, it lists .tts and the next one is .txz. Also there is no notepad listed in link type.

    Notepad on Windows 7\

    Suggestion would be uninstall then new install on Win7. Maybe an older version would work better? A list, maybe Version 7?
