    Windows 11 - NTFS.sys BSOD upon startup everytime. Unable to boot into ISO usb to reinstall


    I already have windows 11 installed and working perfectly on an M.2 ssd. Today I was replacing the cpu cooler with a new one, I removed the cpu to more easily clean off the old thermal paste and reinstalled everything. Upon boot, I see the windows logo and then it promptly defaults to a bsod: System thread exception not handled NTFS.sysI tried plugging in usb with a windows 11 ISO, got to the windows 11 install interface for not even a second and it immediately bsod again. I can still get to the bios, but thats about it. I tried hard restarting 3 times to initiate recovery, but that didn't w

    Bootable USB with ISO - What am I missing?

    I am trying to install win7 from a USB. I set the USB to be first boot and it finds it, but wont install the iso.

    I have tried ...

    However when I get to bootsect it does not do anything .. says it is not a recognized internal command ...

    Is there something I am missing? I even tried just loading the iso on the USB and booting, but did not work either

    Is there an easier way?

    I'm sorry to hear that. I can imagine that must be frustrating.

    Thank you for mentioning the different steps you have tried to resolve the issue, we appreciate your effort.

    I suggest you to try performing a startup repair again by using an installation media and check if it helps.

    First, download the ISO file by following the steps given by Andre Da Costa on
    How to download official Windows 10 ISO files


    • Connect the installation media you created to your PC, and then turn it on.

    • On the initial setup screen, enter your language and other preferences, and then select
      Next. If you're not seeing the setup screen, your PC might not be set up to boot from a drive. Check your PC manufacturer's website for info on how to change your PC's boot order, and then try again.

    • Select Repair your computer.

    • On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot >Advanced options > Startup Repair
