Windows 10: Windows 11 OEM licence : can I upgrade my C drive and how?

Hi,My laptop only has 2 HDD slots. Can I upgrade my system drive by transfering the already installed Windows 11 OEM to a greater capacity HDD?Thank you for your help and have a great day!Nicolas

OEM LICENCE and ISO upgrade

A Windows 10 OEM licence does not restrict an upgrade to Windows 11. If the hardware is compatible and the file system used is GPT then it should upgrade. (you should be able to use MBR2GPT to convert the system disk, if required. It is a one way street so be sure you understand the process MBR2GPT - Windows Deployment | Microsoft Docs)

Your processor is the probably at the bottom of the list for Windows 11 support. (8th generation is the oldest supported) So if you want to try an upgrade then the choice is yours.

Do you see the option in windows update to upgrade to Windows 11, if not you can use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant

WIndows OEM licencing

WIndows 10 PRO oem upgrade to Windows 11 Pro. What impact has this on a licencing ? Is an E3 lincence needed for this if these devices is in a small LAN enviroment with no enviroment Azure or AD

The upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10 is free, it does not matter what type of licence (OEM, Retail or MAK) you have, it is free and if the hardware is listed as fully compatible with Windows 11, then there would be no problem upgrading to Windows 11, there is no reason for your OEM provider to indicate you need to purchase Windows 11 upgrade licences, what reason are they giving for that?
