Windows 10: Windows 11 on a laptop, how do you stop photos placed on the desktop from jumping to top...

I am using Windows 11, on a brand new HP laptop. Any photo I place on the desktop I am not talking about icons, the icons are fine and neither "Auto arrange" nor "Alligh to grid" are checked immedately jumps to the top of the screen on the left. Only then can it be moved back to the original psition I placed it at. "Snap" is also off. OneDrive is unlinked. How do I prevent this? Googling for answers netted me zero workable solutions.

Also if running desktop slideshow, the folders will jump to top of page with each change of a photo. I stopped the slideshow and was able to complete my task in a folder without it jumping to the top. Microsoft........Listen up will you!

Is anyone else having issues with the new Photos constantly scrolling to the top of the page? I take photos constantly so have a ton of them. Every time I start to look at one down near the bottom, it will keep jumping back to the top, so I have to scroll
down again, to find the ones I want. It no longer gives me the option to group my photos by day, but lumps them all in a month.

This annoying thing is driving me crazy. Any help or suggestions on how to stop this would be great!

Thanks for the suggestion. I only have 2 connected computers in my LAN: my Desktop and a laptop which is what I use primarily. It seems to jump when ever I dig deep into a large folder system. By the term "Folder System" I am referring to a very large
number of folders which may consist of over 10,000 folders. (I have roughly 750GB of data on my HDD). About the time I get 5 or move levels deep into my folders, the cursor will jump to the top of the list of files. I usually lose my place and have to
start over.
