Windows 10: Windows 11 on Dell XPS13B laptop will not update past 22H2

I have a Dell XPS13B laptop that has a i5-7Y54 processor. I purchased this used 1 or 2 years ago, with the understanding that any 7th generation Intel CPU would be compatible with Windows 11. After purchasing I did a fresh install of Windows 11 using the media creation tool with no issues. Have not had any problems with updates since the install until now.Have just noticed that I am stuck at 22H2 and Windows Update states "Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date", and also "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". Cannot update Windows 11 to build 22h2

Need more help than support web site offers. I would like to update a Windows Pro 21h2 to 22h2.

I've tried every suggestion at Troubleshoot problems updating Windows - Microsoft Support short of "Perfrom a clean installation of Windows 11." That list is comprehensive and includes everything I would have thought of on my own and then some. None of the troubleshooting suggestions solved the problem. The system in question is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n desktop running Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2.

In addition to all the steps at the above link, I've also tried installing by using Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Installation Assistant downloads and goes through the long installation process. But then very shortly after the reboot starts, it says, "Undoing changes" and boots back into the old build.

 

Windows 11 22H2 on my Windows 11

Hi - my Dell XPS 15 7590 originally came with Windows 10 but I upgraded to Windows 11 without problems. Now running Windows 11 21H2 OS Build 22000.1098

Windows update is not offering me Windows 11 22H2 to download/install.

My Windows Registry does not seem to have any reference to '"DestBuildNum, UpEx, UpExU, and RedReason" keys.

Is there some incompatibility with my system that is stopping Windows Update from offering me 22H2?

I'm also registered for Windows Insider and that does offer me an Insider version of 22H2.

What make and model computer do you own? Have you checked to see if it has been approved for update to Windows 11 22H2?

Both my computers that have Windows 11 Pro 22H2 are Dell and are on the list Dell provides as tested to work with the update.
