  1. Windows 11 on unsupported hardware....

Hi there,My PC is a OPTIPLEX 3010 SFF with a 500GB SSD Upgraded myself, 16GB ram Upgraded myself and a i3-3225; the PC right now runs windows 10 pro 22H2 that is fully up to date. I was thinking to upgrade to windows 11 on this unsupported PC, but I wanted to ask if there is any way I can upgrade it by the windows updates, I don't want to deal with any other ways. I have already ran windows 11 in a VM and it lags with the CPU, but that was when I only put 2 cores. I was thinking that if I 'upgrade' to windows 11 will it be able to handle my work? I usually run max 10 chrome tabs and normal

    :)

Is it legal to install Windows 11 on an unsupported hardware?

I know installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware is unofficial, meaning you will be denied support from Microsoft, if you need support. However, is it legal? If i install Windows 11 on an unsupported hardware, will i be allowed to ask questions on Microsoft Answers, if need help?

Microsoft Support won't be allowed, but will i be allowed to get help from users?

    Windows 11 on unsupported hardware....

let use allow the upgrading of windows11 on unsupported PC's

You can upgrade to Windows 11 on unsupported hardware using customized ISO files. These files work the same on unsupported devices as those downloaded directly from Microsoft on supported hardware.

Here are some steps to upgrade to Windows 11 on unsupported hardware:

    1. Download the Windows 11 ISO file from the Microsoft website
    2. Create a bootable USB drive or DVD with the Windows 11 ISO file
    3. Boot your PC from the bootable media
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 11
You can also bypass the hardware checks by replacing the appraiserress.dll file in the Windows 11 ISO with the appraiserress.dll file from the Windows 10 ISO.

Here are some other things you can try:

    • Disable requirements checks
    • Bypass requirements
    • Add AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU to the Mosetup folder in the registry, change value to 1, then run setup
You can check if your device meets the minimum system requirements by downloading the PC Health Check app.

Microsoft doesn't recommend installing Windows 11 on a device that doesn't meet the minimum system requirements. If you do, you might experience compatibility issues and your device might malfunction.
