Windows 10: Windows 11 only signed out instead of shutting off

This happened to me twice and I need helpEvery time I click the shut-off button, then it only signs me out.I checked back this morning and I see my computer runningI turned on the monitor and I see I'm signed out.Any ideas? Please

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

Update us with the result.

I request you to convert the current Microsoft account to a local account and back to a Microsoft account. While converting back to a Microsoft account give your
new Microsoft login credentials.

Follow the steps below to convert Microsoft account to a local account:

  Press Windows key and type
  settings and select it.
  
• Select Accounts and click on
  sign in with a local account instead, follow on screen instructions.

Follow the steps below to convert local account to a Microsoft account (Provide your new Microsoft login credentials).

Sign in with a Microsoft account instead

I do in fact have an existing Microsoft account and if I go directly to Microsoft, everything works. The problem is clearly at Step 7 of the process of, "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead." I don't know why this is happening.
