Windows 10: Windows 11 PC on a black screen after applying latest updates for October 2023.

I only have access to task manager alt control delete.No other functionality is available to me.I did a cold power off, started it back up again, pressed F2 for, reset bios to factory default, saved and continued, still I have no access to the computer after logging in. Just a blank screen with only access to task manager.The update also changed something in my bios.

Windows 10 infinite restart black screen


The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Black screen after 'Starting Windows' sequence

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Try this quoted from "VisiHow" article "Repair Windows 7 Black Screen of Death":

They, also, have some other options there, too.
Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.
