Windows 11 PC suddenly removed all my local files to OneDrive, and I cannot access them...

I recently got a new laptop HP running Windows 11 and copied my data from my old one to an external drive, then put it into the local folders on the hard drive i.e. Documents, Pictures, Music.I have never used OneDrive for synching purposes and did not want anything synched, so did not enable it.Today, tho, I got a notification that OneDrive was full, as apparently the machine had suddenly started synching my nearly 1TB of data to a 5GB OneDrive, without me ever asking it to or being asked if I wanted it to. So I followed links to stop the synching and then started deleting excess stuff fr

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

This is Windows 10 Pro... Enterprise is an entirely different deal and I'm sure I won't have problems that route, but I'm not forking over more $ to dipshit developers. The only thing I can think of is un-linking my Office 365 accounts within Office, but that defeats the purpose of accessing the files ONLINE and managing them from there. I have two alumni accounts, not a single problem in Windows 7/8 until M$shit devs decided to integrate Onedrive. I've deleted, renamed, set read-only to "msosync.exe," ... but windows continues to add it again and again, and NOW I just noticed it's now linking to groove.exe, instead of onedrive. Sooo fn annoying!

Onedrive on Windows 10 is not an 'app' it is integrated. Plus I don't fool around with the Windows Store thoughtless developer child bullshit. Windows Store ought to be completely removed from the Windows platform all together. Also I do not intend to completely remove Onedrive, it defeats the purpose... the purpose is to REMOVE it from Windows Explorer navigation and startup.

Windows 11 PC suddenly removed all my local files to OneDrive, and I cannot access them...

Removed an MSA account from PC, safe to delete local OneDrive files?

Visiting family over the holiday I used an extra computer they had to get some work done and added my Microsoft account to the PC as a user to more easily access OneDrive files.

I removed the account when I finished, but it left a local copy of my OneDrive files.

Since the account has been removed is it safe to delete the local copy of OneDrive files without having to worry about them syncing back and deleting everything in the cloud?
