    I have a fairly old laptop - an HP Elitebook 840 G5.When running Windows 10 the machine could keep up with modern workloads, although often the machine would be working hard with the fans going full speed.After installing Windows 11 the performance is very bad. Simple things like web browsing and using MS Teams are very slow and laggy.However, the cooling fans never go fast any more and the machine does not get warm. It's like Windows 11 is incapable of modulating the CPU clock speed or use the full capabilities of the processor.I've tried googling this but haven't found any useful guidance. I

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
