    Windows 11 periodically black screens for a few seconds


    Periodically Windows 11 periodically black screens and recovers. I don't think this is a graphics driver issue as this occurs on the laptop alone while using the integrated graphics card and also while the laptop is connected to the monitor via hdmi and uses the dedicated graphics card 0% activity on the integrated card. The laptop is plugged in and the power plan is set for performance. Current build is: 22499.1010, but the issue was occurring on 22494 as well.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Did you install any third party security application?
    • Does the black screen goes automatically after a period of time?

    Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

    Try this quoted from "VisiHow" article "Repair Windows 7 Black Screen of Death":

    They, also, have some other options there, too.
    Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.
