Windows 10: Windows 11 photo editor : reduces files more than 300% can or will it be fixed????

Given all the bad reviews I have read about the photo editor in Windows 11 customers and my own bad experiences: it does not provide functions as good as the former; Worst of all, if used minimally say, to straighten a photo it will reduce the file from 20megs to 3megs. Yes, I could buy a foto editor, but that doesn't compensate for the uniqueness of the previous functions, which provide real creative advantages.

I understand you are facing issues with Photo editor application, if you are using the Photo editor app which is downloaded from Microsoft Store, I suggest you to refer the following article and try few troubleshooting

Microsoft has replaced Photo Editor with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, a new photo editing and cataloging program in Office 2010, in Office 2007, and in Office 2003.

If the application has been removed from your PC, when you install Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Office 2007, or Microsoft Office 2003, I suggest you to refer the following article to reinstall

Photo Editor and check if that helps.

Windows 10 Photo Editor

Hi,

I have a Windows 10 and use the Photo Editor to 1) Open RAW photos made by Nikon camera 2) Edit (crop and if necessary made adjustments) and 3) Save them as JPEG file

The problem I am facing that as soon as I open a raw file Photo Editor automatically reduces the brightness of the picture!

Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
