  1. Windows 11 - Photos - Open 3D Object Files

Hi. I have a problem opening Object 3D files in Windows 11 using the Photos application that comes with Windows 11. The files that I want to open in Photos are .3mf and .glb file extensions. Unfortunately, Photos for Windows 11 does not have its suitable Photos.exe file to show up and open those files in Windows 11.How can I open the .3mf and .glb file extensions using the Microsoft Photos application?I already submitted an improvement in the Windows 11 Feedback Hub for Microsoft to look at and improve this application.

    :)

3d object file library location Windows 10 3d Builder App

Hi, I am trying to add a second object in the Windows 10 version of 3D Builder. When I click on the add object button it opens a file explorer window and goes to the location where I save my 3d files. Where is the internal library location so I can select
objects that are in the included 3d object library?

    Thanks.

  3. My object disappears when I try to move it in paint 3D

It seems like the object might be outside the editable area of the Paint 3D canvas.

Here are a few steps to try:

    1. Go to the top menu in Paint 3D and click on "View".

    2. Select "Reset camera" to bring the object back into view.

If this doesn't work, look at the bottom right corner of Paint 3D where you'll find a list of objects in your project. Click on the object's name in the list to select it, then use the move tool to reposition it to the center of the canvas.

Also, ensure the object isn't grouped with other elements. If it is, ungroup it and try moving it again.

    Selecting Objects in Paint 3D

    Hello AdrianeSuhayda,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

According to your description, you are experiencing an issue with Paint 3D not being able to select objects.

You can try the following actions:

Try closing Paint 3D and then you can open it again to see if it solves your confusion.

    Try opening a moving Objects:

    • If you can't move the objects, check to see if another tool or dialog box is open. Sometimes certain actions may lock up the ability to move or select objects. Close these dialog boxes or tools and try again.
    • Make sure you're in selection tool mode. In Paint 3D, the Selection tool is usually the default, but if you accidentally switch to another tool, you may not be able to move objects.
    • Click on objects to select them: In Paint 3D, you can select objects by clicking on them. Try clicking on a rectangular object to check if you are able to select it successfully.
    • Using Box Selection: With the Selection tool, you can try using the box selection feature, where you click and drag the mouse to create a box that selects the included objects, and then you can move those objects.
    • Make sure the objects are not locked: Sometimes objects can be locked, making it impossible to move them. In Paint 3D, you can check the properties of an object to make sure it is not locked.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if something is unclear or I can't understand your question.

    Best regards
