Windows 10: Windows 11 PIN requires changing due to security change looping after BIOS update

I changed updated my BIOS and when it gets to windows login it tells me due to a security change I need to change my PIN but it just loops back to a lock screen and doesn't let me change the PIN. I have secure boot and TPM activated, windows 11 latest.

Can't log in to windows after a BIOS update, due to phonenumber change and PIN reset

Hi,

This is what happened:

• My HP Omen 15 did a BIOS update (through windows updater).
  
• After the BIOS update I had to reset my password.
  
  (it gave me the following message: Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your PIN again)
  
• In order to reset my password I had to log in to my Microsoft account
  
• After logging in it needs to send me a code via SMS
  

So far so good...

• Turns out the phone number I have set up was my old one
  
• I changed the old phonenumber to send the code to
  
• Now I have to wait a month for Microsoft to process the change in phonenumber
  
• Because I have to wait a month for them to process the change in phonenumber, I now can't re-setup my PIN, which means I can't use my laptop for a month
  

Is there any way to speed up the process of changing my phonenumber?
I have a second email setup, is there a way to send the code there instead of to my phone?
