Windows 10: Windows 11 pin sign in "currently unavailable"

Out of nowhere a week or so ago signing in with a pin stopped working, always says option disabled for too many failed sign ons none being too many, apparently and even waiting the two hours gives me no change. I value my security, so I use a password manager with complex, lengthy passwords, so signing in via password is a long and very irritating process.Yes I have cleared work or school accounts, no changes. What gives? Why am I being dictated to what login methods I can use, anyway? If a 4 digit pin can secure my debit card, its secure enough for my laptop.

Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

Suggestions?.

 

Windows 11 sign-in options all "currently unavailable"

When I got my new laptop (Windows 11) I set up facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, and pin for my sign-in options. I normally use facial recognition so I didn't notice until recently that fingerprint recognition wasn't working. I went into my sign-in options in settings and found that under facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, and pin it says "this option is currently unavailable." Underneath there is an exclamation mark with "something went wrong. Try again later." Also all the options to change my pin, add a fingerprint, etc are all greyed out. Pin and facial recognition still work. How do I fix this? If it's important, I have a personal Microsoft account in addition to a school account run by an organization.

 

PIN (Windows Hello) (Windows 11) - This option is currently unavailable

I had an issue on my personal laptop where my organisation required that I change my pin.

I ended up removing the PIN and now it says that this option is currently unavailable, try again later. I am unable to set up any Windows Hello sign-in options.
