Windows 10: Windows 11 pin stops working every now and then.

This has happened to me frequently after I switched to Windows 11. Whenever I go to log in, I get a message saying that "Something happened and your pin is unavailable. Click to set up your pin again". This message goes if I restart the laptop but it comes back in a few days or hours. If I reset the pin, the issue is fixed but the same problem starts showing after a few months. I want to know why this keeps happening and how I can prevent it from happening again.I hope to get an answer soon enough.Thank you for your time.

PIN Stopped Working and Now the PIN Setup Stops Working

I'm using Windows 11 (fully updated). My PIN stopped working about a week ago. I try to set it up again, the process starts with the Microsoft Account window opening, it's thinking, and then the window just closes. I can log in using a password, but I can't use Hello or the PIN. Any suggestions for how to fix this?

To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
• Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
• Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
• Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter
