Windows 10: Windows 11, print to pdf is not working

I took the steps to uninstall and re-install the Microsoft Print to PDF feature from 'Turn Windows features on or off' several times. Between those steps I restarted the laptop. The 'printer' Microsoft Print to PDF shows up unther Printers & scanners. When I try to print something to PDF, e.g. Pring test page the following message is shown: Operation could not be completed error 0x00000bbb Unable to create a print job. Googling gives a few options, tried those aswell but nothing works sofar. Updating driver from Device Manager - Print queues shows that the best drivers for your device a

Hi William,

We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

• Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
• Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
  OK to save changes.
• Restart your PC.
• Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.

Thanks for your help. I was browsing the web the other day and I found a page called FINAL DRAFT. They had a set of instructions for reinstalling the Microsoft Print to PDF utility that worked great for me. Problem solved.

Additionally follow the below steps.



Method 1: Check the User folder.



Edge sometimes saves the PDF documents to the default directory automatically. If you don’t see the save dialog while using Microsoft Edge, make sure to check
C:Users%username% folder for saved PDF files.

There are instances Edge stores saved PDF file in
UserDocuments folder automatically, so make sure that you check it as well.



Method 2:
Update the printer driver



If replacing the printer driver didn’t solve the problem, you might as well try to update the current one. In case you don’t know how to do that, just follow these instructions:

1. Go to Search, type devicemngr, and open Device Manager.
   
2. Expan Print queues.
   
3. Right-click Microhsoft Print to PDF, and go to
   Update driver.
   
4. Follow further on-screen instructions.
   
5. Restart your computer.
