    Windows 11 Pro 24H2 sends wrong username for connecting to network share


    Ever since upgrading my computer to Windows 11 24H2, I have been unable to access my network drive via SMB. My windows username is different than the username I am trying to use when connecting to my network share Linux Fedora Core 41 running Samba. When I try to connect to my the network share, I manually enter the correct username and password for connecting to that share. However, when I run Wireshark to see the packets, I can still see windows sending my windows username to connect to the network share. Not the username I provided in the "Network Credentials" window above.It seems li

    Windows 11 pro can't connect to network share printer!

    Hi,

    I have just purchase a new lenovo laptop running windows 11 pro (Version 22H2, OS Build 22621.819). So far all is working perfectly. Except one issue. we have a shared network printer connected to another PC which running windows 7 pro. when i go to network --> looking the share printer the printer shows up in the list. Select the printer then click connect then error message "windows could't connect to the printer", i have the latest updates and the network profile i have tried private and public, same result.

    i also try method below:

    Method 1: Restart Print Spooler

    Method 2: Change computer name

    Method 3: Update Windows

    Method 4: Run the Printer Troubleshooter

    Method 5: Re-Enable the Print to PDF feature

    Method 6: Uninstall the KB5006746 update ( this update did't no in the windows update list)

    Method 7: Through Registry Editor

    Method 8: Update the Printer Driver

    Method 9: Uninstall the Printer Driver

    Method 10: Disable Firewall

    Factory reset Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.863)

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?
