    this started about a week or so ago I have a weird issue where after around a day of use my pc starts freeze/ crash all running applications along with not loading or freezing other applications windows search stops working I can get into ctrl alt delete menu but anything I click does not open mouse and keyboard work fine but seemingly everything else comes to a screaming halt and I have to hard shutdown and if I shut down through software it just keeps saying shutting down. I'm kinda at a lose here and any ideas as to why or how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.Edition Windows 1

    Alarm app on Windows 10 on Surface 3 Pro = "Notifications will only show if the PC is awake"

    Hello,

    After upgrade my Surface 3 Pro to Windows 10 I noticed irritating error in Alarms app, namely "Notifications will only show if the PC is awake" and alarms will not sound in sleep".

    • Surface 3 Pro does support InstantGo
    • In Windows 10 there is no longer selection for alarm app in the lock screen settings
    • The topic was mentioned a few times for Windows 10, but never solved

    Any ideas how to fix it?

    Windows 10 can't stay awake

    Grep and Kapil,

    Thank you for your help. I was not able to get the Windows 10 to stay awake the configured 30 minutes. But, going through the steps provided, I was able to improve Windows staying awake from 2 minutes to 11 minutes. Why 11 minutes? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Windows 11 Pro Upgrade from Windows 10 Pro Edition

    No but after it installed the malfunctioning Windows 11 upgrade it was listed as Windows 11 Pro. Microsoft Windows support advised I reinstall Windows 10 Pro and said that Windows 11 is really only meant for new PC's that come with it preinstalled. MSI website doesn't list my 2020 GT76 Titan dt-039 notebook on their Windows 11 upgrade eligibility list so I guess that's why the Windows 11 Pro upgrade failed. I suggest being careful with trying the Windows 11 upgrade despite it stating my notebook was capable of running Windows 11 it was wrong. Luckily I have the original Windows 10 Pro USB Flash drive because the Windows 11 Pro upgrade was so incomplete I had no way of reverting notebook back to Windows 10 without reinstalling from a USB Flash.
