    I purchased a Dell laptop for my son to use at university. It came with Windows 11 Home. When I first configured the system using Win 11 Home license at the time I established a Microsoft account: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** then installed M365 using his university license - it shows its a valid subscription for *** Email address is removed for privacy *** that I installed other software relevant to his studies using this academic licensing.Realising Windows 11 Home does not come with Defender Anti Virus I subsequently bought a Windows 11 Pro license and activated it. The PC is now running Windows 11 Pro

    What the hell, windows defender?

    Just turn Defender off manually if you trust your AV suite. Simple.

    sometimes update giving you more headache than before and yes defender at certain points is more annoying than other AV
