Windows 11 Pro - Ethernet Disconnects for a Few Seconds a Couple of Times per Day

A couple of times per day, my Ethernet will drop for a few seconds icon in taskbar shows disconnected, and network connections are lost. The Wi-Fi remains connected, and the router TP-Link doesn't show any loss of connection. Windows Event Viewer doesn't show anything under "System."My router is connected to the wall jack with an Ethernet cable, then an Ethernet cable connects the router to my pc via a USB-C adapter. So far, I have tried switching out ethernet cables and the adapter, and all devices router, pc + drivers are updated. I have tried restarting both the router and pc. Running

  2. Windows 11 ethernet keeps disconnecting.

My ethernet keeps disconnecting randomly, especially after heavy usage on Windows 11 Pro. It usually stays disconnected until restart.

    My components:

    • MSI B550 Tomahawk
    • Ryzen 7 3700x
    • GTX 1080 TI
    • DA850 Gold Silverstone – power supply
    • Patriot Viper 4 Series DDR4 32GB (2x 16GB) 3200MT (PV432G320C6K)
    • P5 M.2 SSD
    What have I tried:

    • Changed ethernet cable to new one. – I have tried both ethernet ports on MOBO
    • Reset modem settings and restart modem.
    • Almost all software tweaks that I have found online – multiple settings (reset network….etc.).
    • Upgrade network drivers
    • Completely fresh reinstall Windows 11
    • Change power supply and SSD drive.
    • Update BIOS to the latest version.
I'm currently considering that the problem might be related to Windows 11 itself, given that my other computer that runs on Windows 10 doesn't encounter the same issues. It could also be an issue with the modem itself or a possible hardware malfunction. Interestingly, when I utilize an external WiFi dongle, the WiFi connection seems to work flawlessly. I'm open to suggestions for potential solutions or fixes.

    Ethernet keeps disconnecting

I have the same issue on my Dell XPS 15 laptop (which worked normally for many months after I set it up). I've ruled out all hardware culprits (Dell even swapped in a new motherboard). I've done every last suggestion in this post and all other tutorials I've found about Ethernet disconnects and "default gateway not available" errors (including a repair install of Windows 11 Pro). My wi-fi connection is fine, but all of a sudden after six months, my laptop cannot maintain a stable Ethernet connection. It disconnects after a few minutes. Sometimes it spontaneously reconnects for a little while before disconnecting yet again. If I remove the Ethernet cable and reconnect it, that will usually restore the connection for a short time. The problem happens whether IPV4 is enabled, IPV6, or both. The only option I have not tried is the nuclear one: a clean reinstall of W11.

Ethernet Randomly Disconnects and Reconnects on Its Own Within a Fraction Second

    Hi,

I recently Upgraded to AMD R5 3600, B450M A PRO MAX and Windows 11. Since the very first day I am having ethernet disconnectivity issues. It happens on Random. The Internet connection would work like a charm for a day or two and then on the next day It will start dropping connection until I either rollback or Upgrade the Network Adapter Drivers and restart. Connection goes stable for another 1 or 2 days but the cycle repeats on the 3rd Day. Router worked fine on my Core i5 with Windows 10.

I recorded a Video of it Please Have a Look:

    Ethernet Disconnection - Video File

What is causing the issue? Is it my Mobo? Is it Win 11? Please Help
