Windows 10: windows 11 pro folders do not reopen after restart #7043690540

Not resolved: #7043690540 windows 11 pro open folders fail to be restored after restart. Doesn't help to toggle Quick-boot option off or on. Two win11 machines with same misbehavior, as long as they've had win 11. Pass SFC scans. Same issue as other thread, "Folders do not restore when restarting Windows 11To disable quick boot,..."

Folders do not restore when restarting Windows 11

Hello,

I have been looking for an answer to this issue since I received my new Dell with Windows 11 Pro. I am running version 23H2.

There are several folders opened on my desktop, and when I reset my system, or it is done automatically with an update, the folders that were opened and strategically placed on the desktop, will not reopen unless done so manually.

I have made sure that the option in the folder view indicates "Restore previous folder windows at logon" is checked.

This was working perfectly in Windows 10. There was never an upgrade to Windows 11 on this machine, as it was purchased with Windows 11 Pro on it.

Does anyone have any information on this issue that can help? I usually keep anywhere from 5 - 10 windows open that I would like to have automatically open when restarting.

Please advise.

• In the shutdown Settings section, make sure that "Enable Quick Boot" is unchecked -- save the changes and restart
