Windows 10: Windows 11 Pro Keeps Locking the Screen

Hello,I don't need my home computer to keep locking after a few minutes of inactivity. It's really annoying to have to keep unlocking it every time that I do something else for a few minutes.I've tried everything that I can think of in Settings to stop it from automatically locking the screen, but I'm obviously missing something.I've got it so it doesn't go to sleep, or launch the screensaver, but this locking thing is a mystery.Any thoughts?PS - this is a desktop running Windows 11 Pro 24H2, build 26100.3037 with all updates installed.

Windows 11 Pro lock screen keeps locking

Since the upgrade from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro today, I cannot make proper use of my pc. It keeps going to the lock screen every 30 seconds or so. After I unlock it, everything is as it was before locking itself. Then the issue repeats.

Looking for any suggestions before I use msconfig to start troubleshooting.

Lock Screen keeps changing

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
   
2. Click on Personalization.
   
3. Click on Lock screen.
   
4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
   Picture.
   
5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.

Lock screen woes

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving the issue.

Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

• Press Windows + I and select personalization.
  
• Select Lock screen.
  
  
• Select the Screen Timeout setting.
  
• Select the time of timeout you need and check.
