Windows 10: Windows 11 Pro Keeps reverting wallpaper settings

I have a Dell Inspiron 14 7430 2-in-1 laptop with Windows 11 Pro 24H2.I have applied a theme and subsequently change the background settings to slideshow.Every few minutes or so, the settings revert back to picture mode and displays a single picture.I have searched online for solutions but none of them seem to work.I just want a slideshow of wallpapers from a folder.

Windows 11 pro wallpaper reverting to black

Hello, I have been battling a gremlin for a couple of weeks now. Specs will be listed below. I run an app with the Steam client named “Wallpaper Engine” which is basically a giant platform for custom wallpapers and live wallpapers for windows. What has been happening is that this app automatically starts when windows starts, but after a few minutes the live wallpaper disappears and my desktop wallpaper just goes black. I have the latest Nvidia drivers for my GPU. The app is located in my games drive which is not on the same drive as my windows drive.

I usually just open the app again and choose the live wallpaper and it goes back to normal, but than again after a few mins. Same issue…

Wallpaper keeps reverting back to windows spotlight.

Hello,

I have a pc running Windows 11.

My Wallpaper keeps changing back to the windows spotlight. Suppose i set a picture from my hard drive as my lock screen wallpaper, it will display the first few times or so and then revert back to windows spotlight. Now whenever this happens i go into settings and it shows me in the thumbnail the same picture that I had set from my hard drive (i.e. in the preview it's my picture but when i actually unlock, windows spotlight appears.)

When I re-set my lock screen the same process is repeated, it shows the first few times but then reverts back to normal.

If anybody could help me, i would really appreciate it.

 

Wallpaper settings revert with every restart

This started a couple weeks ago. I normally have wallpaper set to a Slideshow of shuffled JPG files every 30 min from a specified directory. Now, when the machine restarts, wallpaper reverts to a Picture. I only have to re-select Slideshow, and the sub-settings are correct.

I've tried changing the picture specified, then personalizing back to Slideshow. After restart, settings revert to Picture, but they remember the new image.

I've tried re-selecting the slideshow sub-settings from scratch to no avail.
