Windows 10: Windows 11 PRO lic for Hyper-V

Enviroment:1x HOST2x Virtual Servers1x Virtual PCHost server is running Windows Server 2022 with Hyper-V, 2x Virtual servers are running Windows 2012R2, 1x Virtual PC is running Windows 11 PROAll servers are fully licenced and successfully activated.Windows 11 PRO - my question is simple - can I use standard W11PRO licence to activate this Virtual PC ?PLAN: This virtual PC will replace physical W10PRO PC. On this PC we are only running printer reporting software, to send printout counts. We are going to login to this PC using administrator account. We don’t use AZURE, all servers are on premis

How Do You Start The Hyper-V Manager After Installing Hyper-V On Windows 11 Pro?

I have a Dell XPS 8930 running Windows 11 Pro. Virtualization is enabled in the BIOS. I installed Hyper-V using Programs and Features, rebooted, and the Hyper-V services have a Startup Type of Manual (Trigger Mode). However, when I search for "Hyper-V Manager," no application is found. I know the Hyper-V manager is managed through an MMC snap-in, but I don't see a relevant snap-in to add. Also, Hyper-V Manager is not listed under Windows Tools.

Only Pro or Enterprise versions can run Hyper-V, in addition to the other requirements listed at the link I provided earlier.

 

Where is the Hyper V Manager, How to I start it ?

I am trying to setup an XP virtual Machine on Windows 10 Pro.

I followed the steps in Neil Peterson article of 5/9/2016.

System Requirements - done - ok

Install Hyper-V - done - ok

Create a Virtual Switch - skip

Create a Virtual Machine

Create a Virtual Machine with Hyper-V Manager

These steps walk through how to manually create a virtual machine and deploy an operating system to this virtual machine.

Uhhhhhhhhh - this step obviously implies one knows

1) Where the Hyper-V Manager is

2) How to start the Hyper-V Manager

Isn't that odd ?
