Windows 10: Windows 11 pro license

HelloI bought a used laptop from Amazon but noticed some tracking software is installed.I want to reimage the laptop, but it is not registered under my email for digital license.I see I have the Windows 10pro RTM license on the laptop which was used to upgrade to 11pro.How can I reimage and gain the Windows 11pro activation digital license?I got the USB image ready, and I can do it but only question remains about the license activation onesthe OS is reinstalled clean.

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

 

Windows 10 Pro license to upgrade Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro

As per title, my work got a laptop for a staff member which came with windows 11 home, but we need Win 11 pro to set up domain. Does buying and using a Win 10 Pro license in the "settings > activation > change product key" dialog correctly upgrade this windows 11 instance?

Wanted to double check as it's a $300 license

Windows 11 Pro license issue

I had a digital license for Windows 10 Pro for my personal PC, which was at one point associated with my Microsoft account. I decided to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro. Because my CPU did not meet the minimum requirements of Windows 11 Pro, I purchased a new motherboard and CPU. When they arrived, I proceeded to install the new hardware. I then booted into Windows 10 Pro, which updated the drivers and seemed to be running fine, so I started installing Windows 11 Pro. When the install process was at about 90%, a message popped up saying that Windows wasn't activated. Since the process took several hours to get to this point, I decided to let it complete. When I booted into Windows 11 Pro, it was not active, and I couldn't activate it with my Microsoft account. After troubleshooting with support for hours I became frustrated and left the chat. At that point I felt that I had no choice but to purchase a new license because I couldn't be without my computer.



Here are the questions I would like answered, please:



1) Is there any way at this point to recover the old license? Maybe use it with a different computer?



2) Regardless of whether or not I can recover my previous license, what is the explanation as to what happened to the license I had associated with my Microsoft account?



3) Why was there be no record of the license associated with that address - do digital licenses expire?



4) How can we prevent this from happening in the future?



5) I do not want go through this again. Can I get a product key so I don't have to rely on a digital license that could potentially disappear?
