Windows 10: Windows 11 Pro Network Sharing issue.

I have shared the c drive for everyone, on two HP Computers, have enabled SMB File Sharing, and all other relevant Shares, Have Given access to everyone under advanced sharing. I can see the shared Drive, from the other Windows 11 Computer but no matter what I do It will not let me see the contents of the c drive, have also tried to share Documents folder, same problem. At a loss as to why I cannot access the shared C Drive. I am running a workgroup network. the error I get indicates I do not have permission, but I have setup all everyone permissions, and have Sharing with No password enable

Windows 11 Network Sharing Not working

Hello:

I have 2 Dell laptops

1. Name MADHIRAS runs Windows 10 Pro
   
2. Name CHANDRA runs Windows 11 Pro
   

I am able to access laptop MADHIRAS (Windows 10) from CHANDRA (Windows 11).

However when I try to access CHANDRA (Windows 11) from Madhiras (Window 10) I get the following error message

“Network Error

Windows cannot access \\CHANDRA

You do not have permission to access \\CHANDRA. Contact your network administrator to request access.”

I login to my laptop CHANDRA (Windows 11) using Microsoft account name and password.

Tried various suggestions from internet but of no use. I feel am missing something very basic.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Windows 11 pro can't connect to network share printer!

Hi,

I have just purchase a new lenovo laptop running windows 11 pro (Version 22H2, OS Build 22621.819). So far all is working perfectly. Except one issue. we have a shared network printer connected to another PC which running windows 7 pro. when i go to network --> looking the share printer the printer shows up in the list. Select the printer then click connect then error message "windows could't connect to the printer", i have the latest updates and the network profile i have tried private and public, same result.

i also try method below:

Method 1: Restart Print Spooler

Method 2: Change computer name

Method 3: Update Windows

Method 4: Run the Printer Troubleshooter

Method 5: Re-Enable the Print to PDF feature

Method 6: Uninstall the KB5006746 update ( this update did't no in the windows update list)

Method 7: Through Registry Editor

Method 8: Update the Printer Driver

Method 9: Uninstall the Printer Driver

Method 10: Disable Firewall





Any suggestions appreciated.

Cannot open network and sharing center in windows 10

In order to understand the issue in a better manner, please share the following details

  Do you get any error message, when trying to open network and sharing center?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below to fix the issue.

Method 1: Install all the Windows 10 pending updates and check if it helps.

I suggest you check for the pending updates in resolving the issue.

• 
  In search type Check for updates and hit enter.
  
• 
  Click on Check for updates.
  
• 
  Windows 10 will automatically install all the pending updates.
  

If the issue still persist, suggest you to try the below step to fix the issue.

Method 2: I suggest you to
Run the DISM Tool and check.

The DISM tool checks the system health and will try to restore the files.

• Right click on the Start button, click on Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press the
  Enter key after each command:
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

• 
  DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  

To close the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type
Exit, and then press Enter.
