Windows 10: Windows 11 Pro not Upgrading to Enterprise

In our environment we are rolling out Windows 11 devices.Devices are built via Autopilot and auto enrolled.All users have E3 licences assigned with Windows 10/11 enterprise option ticked within admin portal.For some reason there are a few devices which do not auto upgrade to Enterprise, not all, only 2 out of the 10 users for the test group. All users are in the same group, have same Intune settings and policies applied to them. As its cloud only we do not use or have Group Policy.We do have conditional access and mfa policies, I am aware that this could cause an issue. So for testing, I have

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

 

Upgrade Windows 11 Home to Enterprise

Hi everyone,

I have a Surface Pro 9 which came with Windows 11 Home edition. I would like to upgrade this to Windows 11 Enterprise.

I own a Windows 11 Pro Licence. I am also entitled to use Windows 11 Enterprise through our M365 E3 Subscription.

I thought I could just remove Windows 11 Home edition. Install Windows 11 Pro using the licence I own, and then upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise but someone has suggested to me that this breaches the licencing agreement because the Surface Pro did not originally come with Windows 11 Pro or Windows 11 Enterprise. This sounds a little daft to me and I am struggling to find the T&Cs to verify. Does anyone happen to know if this is true please, or am I free to do as I planned?

Is it possible to upgrade from windows 11 Pro to windows 11 enterprise for free

Hello everyone,

I have Windows 11 Pro in a Workgroup-environment and I want to upgrade it to Windows 11 Enterprise.

Is it possible to upgrade it to enterprise edation for free? Or should I buy an enterprise key. Is there a way to not lose my current Windows key after upgrading the windows to enterprise ?
