Windows 10: Windows 11 Pro product key not working for new PC after botched installation

Quick timeline of events:1. I bought a Windows 11 Pro key from a legitimate supplier2. I finished setting up my new PC AMD CPU, MSI motherboard3. I do not have a disk reader so I tried to install Windows 11 via a USB installation media but encountered a drivers not found issue4. I changed the installation media to Windows 10 and that worked5. I activated my product key in Windows 10 while offline and not account-synced didn't set up ethernet yet6. After I connected ethernet and while I was waiting for Windows updates to install, electricity unexpectedly cut off causing my PC to shut down7.

I built a new computer running windows 11 home. Can I transfer my product key from my old windows 10 Pro?

How can I transfer my license to my new PC? I have verified it's a retail copy but I can't activate the product key and the upgrading hardware step doesn't list my new PC.

Do I need Windows 11 Pro or should the 10 Pro key automatically upgrade me?

How do I do this?

 

Windows pro product key re-usability

This is an informative question regarding the policies of windows. I have an existing Microsoft Windows Pro software installed on one of my devices, I wanted to know if there is a way using which I can use that product key on my another device which has
Windows home installed in it, to upgrade it to Pro. If the policy requires the earlier existing system(with windows pro) to be abandoned or removed in order to allow the product key of pro to be used in a new system, that too works for me.

Please help me by suggesting me steps to take.

Windows 11 Pro - New PC - couldn't verify the product key

I'm building a new computer, AMD Ryzen 9 7900, 64GB RAM & 1 TB m.2 SSD. I purchased a Windows 11 Pro key from a valid reseller and downloaded the Windows 11 media creation tool to create a bootable USB from Microsoft. This seems to work until the install asks for the activation key; when the key is entered it produces the dreaded "We couldn't verify the product key. Please check your ..."

The PC is plugged into the network with has internet access. I don't know if "can't verify" means it's a bad key or it needs to call home, but can't. The real question is how to proceed to getting the OS installed? without the key there doesn't appear to be anyway to install and activate later.

Trying to proceed without a key offers several variants of Windows 11 to choose from; I tried Pro and Home and got another failure dialog about not finding Windows terms and licensing.
