  1. Windows 11 Pro random crashes after mobo change

Good afternoon, I am having the following issue. I recently changed my mobo and am now having random crashes. Desktop stays powered on, never see a normal boot sequence after crash, it just loses display signal then I'm at the login screen for windows. I have run the DISM steps and SFC. Claims errors were corrected but after reboot still having same issues. I did a save nothing reinstall of windows and problem still persists. I had an error for secure boot not being enabled, so I already corrected that. Now getting LSA warnings in event viewer as well. Any insight would be greatly apprec

    :)

  2. Changing my MOBO and CPU a

I'm doing PC upgrades and changes entirely for my new mini-itx build.

I'm not sure about how the process would work, but what are the appropriate steps I need to undertake before making my changes?

    • My personal data and files are backed up to my Onedrive, and have nothing to lose in terms of data.
    • I have an additional copy of Windows 10 (but would prefer not to use it in-case I do another PC build).
    • My MOBO and CPU upgrades are polar opposites of my current hardware:
      • OLD HARDWARE
        • Intel i5 6500
        • AsRock Killer MOBO
      • New Hardware
        • AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
        • Asus Strix X-470
This is my first time doing a particular change so guiding steps would be greatly appreciated! Things like how to wipe my hard-drive and reinstall Windows, etc.

You will have to buy windows license if you change the motherboard, unless you made the computer originally in the first place, or bought a license key.

Windows 11 Pro random crashes after mobo change

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
