    Windows 11 Pro upgrade from MS Store refuses to work


    I am running on Windows 11 Home and purchased the Pro license from MS Store, after doing the upgrade, I received the error code: 0x8007371b.I searched for options to fix the problem, but nothing seemed to work. I have restated the computer several times and nothing.I need to do this because I will start a new business and have created a Microsoft 365 account but with the Home edition, I cannot log in to that account.

    I am currently running on Windows 11 Home and purchased the Pro upgrade from the Microsoft Store. After doing so I click the 'Install' button get to the 'Preparing for upgrade' box and it fails with the error code 0x80070490.
    I then tried following the steps of disconnecting from the internet, entering the generic Pro key (VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T), get the error 'Unable to upgrade your edition of Windows' (giving me the same error code as before: 0x80070490) restart my computer and it still did not upgrade my pc to Windows 11 Pro. I have tried this method multiple times and it refuses to work.

    Any common solution found searching on the internet does not seem to work for me.

    You do not get a product key when buying the Windows 11 Pro upgrade from the MS Store. There's no code on the MS store, in the confirmation email, nor is it in the order details.

    I am on an activated Windows 11 home and purchased the Windows 11 Pro upgrade from the microsoft store.

    I am sorry for the confusion.

    If there's no key, please follow these steps:

    1). Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.

    2). Under Upgrade your edition of Windows, select Open Store

    3). Make sure you’re signed in with your Microsoft account with which you have purchased a Windows 11 Pro license.

    4). After you confirm your purchase, you’ll be prompted to install Windows 11 Pro and restart your PC. You’ll then be running Windows 11 Pro.
